Getting Started

  • Order Tagging app provide merchants tool to automatically add the tags in order and customers for them to categorize and organize their orders. By applying tags based on specific conditions, merchants can manage the orders efficiently and analyze the orders based on tags for better insight s to grow business.

  • To Getting Stared with the app follow these simple steps:

Install the App:

Install the Order Tagging app from the shopify store.

Create Tag Rule:
  • After installing the app let's configure the app.

  • First go to the Manage Tag Rule menu form Dashboard or from Header Menu.

  • Click on Add Tag Rule button to create new tag rule. This will open a new page to add new tag rule.

  • Insert rule name first.

  • Select condition type: AND / OR.

  • Then create condition based on the criteria you want.

  • Specify tag in Add Tag for order or customer or for both.

  • Specify tag in Remove tag if you want which will remove tags from order or customers.

  • Adding at least one tag is mandatory.

  • Click on save button to save the created tag rule.

  • You can see the workflow of the created condition at right side in Workflow section.

  • For example, create a condition which will add tag Priority to order and tag VIP to customer when total order quantity is greater than five, total amount is greater than 1000 and used discount code Test .

Activate/Deactivate Tag Rule:

  • In Manage Tag Rule menu you can see the list of created tag rules.

  • You can see the switch on every condition rule.

  • By clicking on that switch you can activate or deactivate the rule.

  • Just click on the switch of the condition you want to activate or deactivate.

  • Only conditions which are activated will be executed when any order is made.

Edit Tag Rule:

  • Click on edit button of the condition rule you want to edit from the list.

  • This will open a page same as add tag rule.

  • Edit the data you want to change.

  • After editing the data click on the save button to save changed data.

  • Don't forget to save data every time you change the condition

Test Tag Rule:
  • After creating the condition rule it is better to test the rule before activating it.

  • Testing the condition rule against any order will give you the proper result of the condition, if the created condition rule is proper or not.

  • To test the condition rule first click on edit button of the condition rule you want to test.

  • In edit tag rule page you will see the Does order match conditions? below Workflow section.

  • In that text box insert the Order Id you want to test.

  • If the order matches the conditions in the rule, it will show a successful pop-up.

  • If the order does not matches the condition it will show saying not matching the rule pop-up.

Delete Tag Rule:
  • If you want to delete any tag rule just click on delete button on that particular tag rule.

  • It will ask for confirmation to delete the rule. Just click on yes and the rule will be deleted.
